How public rules acquire
operative meaning
I am a researcher based in Seoul, South Korea, working on international regulation, governance and standards. I study how international rules and standards are formed and applied, how they allocate responsibilities, and how legal texts and public records support verification in technology, trade and consumer protection.
My research combines comparative document analysis with experience in consumer-safety R&D and international standardisation through ISO/COPOLCO, ISO/PC 245 and more. I also independently design and build web-based tools for organising and checking public information.

Examines the titles and abstracts of 416 published and developing AI-related ISO/IEC JTC 1 standards against twelve consumer-risk categories from the COPOLCO AI White Paper. The abstract reports: “Standards in SC 27 and SC 42 account for most alignments but rarely include explicit consumer or rights framing.” The analysis highlights gaps in the coverage of structural and systemic consumer risks.
